  • Detail Itinerary
    • Day 1 Kathmandu fly to Lukla treks to Phakding (2800m)

      Flight time: (35 minute and trek 3 to 4 hours) 
      We drive to airport early in the morning to take our flight to Lukla. The 35 minutes flight to Lukla provides the view panorama peaks such as Langtang, Rolwaling and Annapurna and Everest Himalayan Ranges.  After flight walk along the Sherpa village, green vegetations and high cultivations. After walking for some hours through scattered villages and yak herder’s camps will lead us to Phakding. Overnight at Phakding.

    • Day 2 Phakding to Namche Bazzar (3500m)

      Trekking time: 6 to 7 hours)
      After breakfast trek will start from Phakding. We will cross suspension bridges over Dudh Koshi River around five times. We can have view of some exotic mountain such as Mt. Thamserku, Mt. Kongde, Langtang, Rolwaling and Annapurna himal. We, then climb up to Namche Bazaar with Everest views along the climb through the Pines forest and alpine flowers. Encountering the first view of Everest from Top Danda, we trek uphill for the next ninety minutes through pine forest to Namche bazaar overnight stay at Namche.

    • Day 3 Namche Bazaar rest and Acclimatize day

      Full day rest and day hike because rest day during trek means to hike to higher elevation and trek down back for proper acclimatization. Explore to Khumjung, Thomo or Khunde village above Namche bazaar. Namche Bazaar, itself is a tourist shopping hub with all the required trekking and mountaineering clothing and equipment. Overnight stay at Namche.

       

    • Day 4 Namche to Thame (3800m)

      Trekking time: 3 to 4 hours
      After breakfast trek will start from Namche. the trail leads to the old village called Thamo which is easy walk through the valley. Thamo is a small Sherpa village. the trail leads continue to Thame. After lunch, rest and you can go 30 minutes climb up to see the beautiful monasteries then back down close to the Thame valley there is small Hydro power where you can visit. And you can enjoy with village and its culture.  Stay overnight at the Lodge.

    • Day 5 Thame to Lumde (4137m)

      Trekking time: 4 to 5 hours
      After early breakfast trek will start from Thame. After an hour you went to  Bhote Koshi River where you can have short break. Then the trail leads uphill to Lumde through the dry valley Tarang. It is an interesting walking with enjoying the views of the snow capped mountains and the dry valley.  Stay overnight at Lodge.

    • Day 6 Lumde to Gokyo (4800m)

      Trekking time: (8 hours) via Renjo La Pass (5465m)
      After breakfast trek will start the trail leads uphill  and then easy walks for a while. At the last, there is hard climb to get the top of the Renjo La pass. From where you will see the beautiful view of  laughing Mountains peaks and blue Gokyo lake. From the top of the Renjo La the trail drops down to the Third Lake (Gokyo Lake) and get in to the lodge. Stay overnight at Gokyo lodge.

    • Day 7 Gokyo rest and Acclimatize day (4800m)

      After breakfast you will start you’re another full day exploration day from Gokyo Ri hike for magnificent view of dozens of snow cap peaks surrounding the Everest range and many more. After taking picture on the Gokyo Ri top you will walk down to your lodge for lunch or snacks than if you still have energy to hike to another beautiful lake the fifth Lake of Gokyo valley. Before going check your water bottle with enough water and have some cookies and chocolate with you. From the Fifth Lake you can see spectacular view of Mt Everest (top of the world). The 5th lake is also popular for the views of North and South slopes of Everest. After visiting here you will head back to your lodge for another night stay at Gokyo.

    • Day 8 Gokyo to Thangnak (4750m)

      Trekking time: 3 hours
      After breakfast trail will lead towards to Dragnag for another beautiful night stay at high altitude ascending point.  Trails will leads through the Ngozumpa Glacier up and downhill trail with yak grazing lands than to Dragnag for overnight stay.

    • Day 9 Thangnak to Dzongla via Chola Pass (5367m)

      Trekking atime: 6-7 hours
      This day is harder day than other days because of high and climbing up and high passes. So we walk carefully during our journey before passing chola there is big rocky hill sometimes rock can fall dawn so you have to watch out. Trek will begin along the rocky trails and glacial moraines to the top of the pass. Walk uphill to the top of Cho La Pass (5363m) rewards us with the superb views of Cho La Lake and Mt. Cholatse. Then descend from the pass along the slippery icy trails and glaciers walk brings us to Dzongla. with super tired of adventure trekking day. It makes you baby sleep after adventure day.

    • Day 10 Dzongla to Gorakshep(5160m)

      Trekking time: 5to 6 hours
      After breakfast trek will start from Dzongla, an easy downhill for a while and few up and down to the Lobuche. Stop to Labuche for the lunch. After lunch one and half hour walk to Gorakshep. Stay overnight at the lodge.

    • Day 11 Full day excursion day Everest Base (5360m) Kalapatthar (5,550mtr.) and Labuje (4930m)

      Trekking time: 7 to 8 hours
      Early in the morning you will climb gradually uphill to Kalapatthar for the sunrise view of Mt. Everest including Mt Pumori, Lingtren, Khumbetse, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku along with many more.
      Then you will walk back to lodge for breakfast. Right after the breakfast you will start next journey to Everest Base Camp. Where you will see super nice view of glacial moraines extended from Khumbu Icefall with the colorful tents of Expedition Groups in main season for climbing. Then you will walk back to lodge to have food and you can decide stay there or trek to Labuje for overnight stay.

    • Day 12 Labuche to Chhukung via Kongma la pass(4730m)

      Trekking time: 6 to 7 hours
      After early break fast trek will start from Labuchhe. The trail through the khumbu glacier towards east and cross the glacier. And the trail leads up to the Kongma la pass which is difficult pass of the trip. There is no water resource and tea shop at the med way. So we will need to carry enough food and drinking water. After hard climb to the top, the trail drops steep down to the Chukung valley where your day ends. Stay overnight at lodge.

       

    • Day 13 Chhukung to Island peak Base camp: 4970m

      Trekking time 3 to 4 hrs

      Today we will leave Chhukung at around 7 or 8 in the morning after a healthy breakfast. The trail is asusual gradual up with decent panoramic view of the surrounding snow capped stone walls. As we reach the base camp we have some basic lesson to learn about the climbing of the following day. We check our climbing gears and listen to our Sherpa guide about what he has to say of Island Peak climbing session tomorrow. We are to dine early tonight  and rest well enough because we get up and start early at 2 am in the morning for a climb. Overnight at tented camps. 

    • Day 14 Base Camp to Island Peak Summit (6091m)

      Climbing and trekking time-8 to 9 hrs

      Like we said, we start as early at 2 in the morning, we leave no stone unturn for the preparation for this big adventurous day. The climate gets even colder at around this time so we put on every anti-wind or cold gears including hot water in a flask. As we made to the top, our adventure mission is complete. We then slowly and carefully climb down to base camp and keep walking down to Chhukung. Overnight at Chhukung.

    • Day 15 Chhukung to Tengboche (3880m)

      Trekking time: 6 to 7 hours
      After breakfast trek will start to Tengboche. From Chhukung you will descend to Dingboche village and continue to your destination by crossing the bridge and Sherpa village along the way Pangboche. It is a long but easy way down to Tengboche Monastery where you can see evening ceremony of Buddhist culture at 3pm every day. And one of the best another Everest view point where you will spend the night stay with good food. Overnight at Tengboche.

    • Day 16 Tengboche to Monju (2835m)

      Trekking time-6 hrs

      We rise early today as well if we do not want to miss a very best sunrise view from the spot where the sunrays hits the mountains making it looks like a golden bailey of our peacful Kingdom, Nepal. We witness the amazing wonders of the nature and make a way down to Phungi Tenga where we encounter with a DudhKoshi, crossing it on a suspension bridge to move uphill till Kyangima and follow a sloppy path for an hour and half to Namche for a lunch. We will continue to the same trail as in the beginning down to Monju. Overnight at Monju.

    • Day 17 Monju to Lukla (2840m)

      Trekking time: 5 to 6 hrs

      Trek will descend from Monju until the Dudhkoshi River through the pine forest and you will cross Dudhkoshi River (Milky River) over the suspension bridge. We will continue moving down to Benkar approximately an hour to Phakding where we trek uphill for about 3 hours to Lukla, our last destination of this trek.

    • Day 18 Lukla to kathmandu (1300m)

      Flight time: 35 minutes

      After breakfast you will be informed by your Travel guide to check in Lukla domestic airport to fly to Kathmandu. Sometimes flight can be delay because of bad weather condition. We will be waiting on your arrival in Kathmandu with private transport and drive to your hotel where you can take shower, choice of food and massage for your body and you are free to enjoy in City life. Until you fly to your destination.

    A flight from Kathmandu to Lukla or vice versa can be cancelled if bad weather persists as it is unpredictable in the Everest region especially during monsoon. In such case you might have to wait for a day or two or you can charter a chopper for around $400 to $600 per person: the price is flexible though according to the situation and requirements and the chopper would operate with the enrolment of five passengers.

     

    Alternative:

    You can hire a jeep and drive to Jubing for about 11 to 12 hours, from Jubing you trek to Lukla. However you may have to extend your trekking days for 3 to 4 days following this option and,

    A walk from Lukla for a day to Jubing and drive back to Kathmandu if you are at the other end.

    Daily trekking times will normally be between 5 and 7 hours unless stated

  • The following equipment lists are suggested and essential for both camping & teahouse treks in the Himalayas. Given this list as a guideline, most of the trekking equipment can be hired or bought in many adventure shops in Kathmandu as well. Besides, keep in mind that trekking gear can be bought in  many adventure shops in Kathmandu, the majority of gear is locally manufactured (hence a lot cheaper) although it is becoming more common for gear to be imported from China and therefore of better quality.

    02) Ice Axe w/ Leash (General mountaineering tool. Sizing is importandunder 5' 7'' Use a 60cm tool: 5'7''-6'1 Use a 65cm tool: over 6'1''Use a 70ccm tool. Too short is preferable to too long.


    03) 40 ft 6 mm perlong (For prussiks or bring your glacier rig. 


    04) Alpine Climbing Harness (Harness should fit over all clothing; has gear loops , adjustable leg loops and be reasonable and comfortable to hang suspended in.


    05) Carabeers (2 large pear or D-shaped locking. 2 stander ovels or D's.


    06) Climbing helmet (Must be adjustable to ft, with or without or balaclava on.


    07) one ascender (Recommended left or right hand.


    08) Sky or trekking poles (Snow baskets reqired. Helful for balance when carrying a hravy pack or if you have knee proplams.


    09) Double plastic climbing boot.

Explore to Khumjung, Thomo or Khunde village above Namche bazaar. Namche Bazaar, itself is a tourist shopping hub with all the required trekking and mountaineering clothing and equipment.   • Day 4 Namche to Thame (3800m)

    Trekking time: 3 to 4 hours
    After breakfast trek will start from Namche. the trail leads to the old village called Thamo which is easy walk through the valley. Thamo is a small Sherpa village. the trail leads continue to Thame. After lunch, rest and you can go 30 minutes climb up to see the beautiful monasteries then back down close to the Thame valley there is small Hydro power where you can visit. And you can enjoy with village and its culture.  Stay overnight at the Lodge.

  • Day 5 Thame to Lumde (4137m)

    Trekking time: 4 to 5 hours
    After early breakfast trek will start from Thame. After an hour you went to  Bhote Koshi River where you can have short break. Then the trail leads uphill to Lumde through the dry valley Tarang. It is an interesting walking with enjoying the views of the snow capped mountains and the dry valley.  Stay overnight at Lodge.

  • Day 6 Lumde to Gokyo (4800m)

    Trekking time: (8 hours) via Renjo La Pass (5465m)
    After breakfast trek will start the trail leads uphill  and then easy walks for a while. At the last, there is hard climb to get the top of the Renjo La pass. From where you will see the beautiful view of  laughing Mountains peaks and blue Gokyo lake. From the top of the Renjo La the trail drops down to the Third Lake (Gokyo Lake) and get in to the lodge. Stay overnight at Gokyo lodge.

  • Day 7 Gokyo rest and Acclimatize day (4800m)

    After breakfast you will start you’re another full day exploration day from Gokyo Ri hike for magnificent view of dozens of snow cap peaks surrounding the Everest range and many more. After taking picture on the Gokyo Ri top you will walk down to your lodge for lunch or snacks than if you still have energy to hike to another beautiful lake the fifth Lake of Gokyo valley. Before going check your water bottle with enough water and have some cookies and chocolate with you. From the Fifth Lake you can see spectacular view of Mt Everest (top of the world). The 5th lake is also popular for the views of North and South slopes of Everest. After visiting here you will head back to your lodge for another night stay at Gokyo.

  • Day 8 Gokyo to Thangnak (4750m)

    Trekking time: 3 hours
    After breakfast trail will lead towards to Dragnag for another beautiful night stay at high altitude ascending point.  Trails will leads through the Ngozumpa Glacier up and downhill trail with yak grazing lands than to Dragnag for overnight stay.

  • Day 9 Thangnak to Dzongla via Chola Pass (5367m)

    Trekking atime: 6-7 hours
    This day is harder day than other days because of high and climbing up and high passes. So we walk carefully during our journey before passing chola there is big rocky hill sometimes rock can fall dawn so you have to watch out. Trek will begin along the rocky trails and glacial moraines to the top of the pass. Walk uphill to the top of Cho La Pass (5363m) rewards us with the superb views of Cho La Lake and Mt. Cholatse. Then descend from the pass along the slippery icy trails and glaciers walk brings us to Dzongla. with super tired of adventure trekking day. It makes you baby sleep after adventure day.

  • Day 10 Dzongla to Gorakshep(5160m)

    Trekking time: 5to 6 hours
    After breakfast trek will start from Dzongla, an easy downhill for a while and few up and down to the Lobuche. Stop to Labuche for the lunch. After lunch one and half hour walk to Gorakshep. Stay overnight at the lodge.

  • Day 11 Full day excursion day Everest Base (5360m) Kalapatthar (5,550mtr.) and Labuje (4930m)

    Trekking time: 7 to 8 hours
    Early in the morning you will climb gradually uphill to Kalapatthar for the sunrise view of Mt. Everest including Mt Pumori, Lingtren, Khumbetse, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku along with many more.
    Then you will walk back to lodge for breakfast. Right after the breakfast you will start next journey to Everest Base Camp. Where you will see super nice view of glacial moraines extended from Khumbu Icefall with the colorful tents of Expedition Groups in main season for climbing. Then you will walk back to lodge to have food and you can decide stay there or trek to Labuje for overnight stay.

  • Day 12 Labuche to Chhukung via Kongma la pass(4730m)

    Trekking time: 6 to 7 hours
    After early break fast trek will start from Labuchhe. The trail through the khumbu glacier towards east and cross the glacier. And the trail leads up to the Kongma la pass which is difficult pass of the trip. There is no water resource and tea shop at the med way. So we will need to carry enough food and drinking water. After hard climb to the top, the trail drops steep down to the Chukung valley where your day ends. Stay overnight at lodge.

     

  • Day 13 Chhukung to Island peak Base camp: 4970m

    Trekking time 3 to 4 hrs

    Today we will leave Chhukung at around 7 or 8 in the morning after a healthy breakfast. The trail is asusual gradual up with decent panoramic view of the surrounding snow capped stone walls. As we reach the base camp we have some basic lesson to learn about the climbing of the following day. We check our climbing gears and listen to our Sherpa guide about what he has to say of Island Peak climbing session tomorrow. We are to dine early tonight  and rest well enough because we get up and start early at 2 am in the morning for a climb. Overnight at tented camps. 

  • Day 14 Base Camp to Island Peak Summit (6091m)

    Climbing and trekking time-8 to 9 hrs

    Like we said, we start as early at 2 in the morning, we leave no stone unturn for the preparation for this big adventurous day. The climate gets even colder at around this time so we put on every anti-wind or cold gears including hot water in a flask. As we made to the top, our adventure mission is complete. We then slowly and carefully climb down to base camp and keep walking down to Chhukung. Overnight at Chhukung.

  • Day 15 Chhukung to Tengboche (3880m)

    Trekking time: 6 to 7 hours
    After breakfast trek will start to Tengboche. From Chhukung you will descend to Dingboche village and continue to your destination by crossing the bridge and Sherpa village along the way Pangboche. It is a long but easy way down to Tengboche Monastery where you can see evening ceremony of Buddhist culture at 3pm every day. And one of the best another Everest view point where you will spend the night stay with good food. Overnight at Tengboche.

  • Day 16 Tengboche to Monju (2835m)

    Trekking time-6 hrs

    We rise early today as well if we do not want to miss a very best sunrise view from the spot where the sunrays hits the mountains making it looks like a golden bailey of our peacful Kingdom, Nepal. We witness the amazing wonders of the nature and make a way down to Phungi Tenga where we encounter with a DudhKoshi, crossing it on a suspension bridge to move uphill till Kyangima and follow a sloppy path for an hour and half to Namche for a lunch. We will continue to the same trail as in the beginning down to Monju. Overnight at Monju.

  • Day 17 Monju to Lukla (2840m)

    Trekking time: 5 to 6 hrs

    Trek will descend from Monju until the Dudhkoshi River through the pine forest and you will cross Dudhkoshi River (Milky River) over the suspension bridge. We will continue moving down to Benkar approximately an hour to Phakding where we trek uphill for about 3 hours to Lukla, our last destination of this trek.

  • Day 18 Lukla to kathmandu (1300m)

    Flight time: 35 minutes

    After breakfast you will be informed by your Travel guide to check in Lukla domestic airport to fly to Kathmandu. Sometimes flight can be delay because of bad weather condition. We will be waiting on your arrival in Kathmandu with private transport and drive to your hotel where you can take shower, choice of food and massage for your body and you are free to enjoy in City life. Until you fly to your destination.

Tour Notes

A flight from Kathmandu to Lukla or vice versa can be cancelled if bad weather persists as it is unpredictable in the Everest region especially during monsoon. In such case you might have to wait for a day or two or you can charter a chopper for around $400 to $600 per person: the price is flexible though according to the situation and requirements and the chopper would operate with the enrolment of five passengers.

 

Alternative:

You can hire a jeep and drive to Jubing for about 11 to 12 hours, from Jubing you trek to Lukla. However you may have to extend your trekking days for 3 to 4 days following this option and,

A walk from Lukla for a day to Jubing and drive back to Kathmandu if you are at the other end.

Daily trekking times will normally be between 5 and 7 hours unless stated

Equipment List - Everest Three Passes Trek and Island Peak Climb - (20 days)

The following equipment lists are suggested and essential for both camping & teahouse treks in the Himalayas. Given this list as a guideline, most of the trekking equipment can be hired or bought in many adventure shops in Kathmandu as well. Besides, keep in mind that trekking gear can be bought in  many adventure shops in Kathmandu, the majority of gear is locally manufactured (hence a lot cheaper) although it is becoming more common for gear to be imported from China and therefore of better quality.

03) 40 ft 6 mm perlong (For prussiks or bring your glacier rig. 


04) Alpine Climbing Harness (Harness should fit over all clothing; has gear loops , adjustable leg loops and be reasonable and comfortable to hang suspended in.


05) Carabeers (2 large pear or D-shaped locking. 2 stander ovels or D's.


06) Climbing helmet (Must be adjustable to ft, with or without or balaclava on.


07) one ascender (Recommended left or right hand.


08) Sky or trekking poles (Snow baskets reqired. Helful for balance when carrying a hravy pack or if you have knee proplams.


09) Double plastic climbing boot.


10) Please make sure your gears fit around the plastic boot without being to tight around the boot.
